More than enough...

Yesterday all I needed was $40 and I would be able to pay my rent with the money left over from my savings. I had been travelling all week and had barely worked at all. I was spending more than I had to spend and work in the ensuing three days since my return had yielded a mere $70. I needed more.

I went into work praying to walk away with $40... That was all I needed to get by. This was saturday at 4pm, I hadn't even been initially scheduled to work but someone travelled and I got penciled in. I left work yesterday with $900-some in sales and $134 in tips even after being stiffed twice, the one table with sales close to $60!

Two things come to mind:
1) Isaiah 40:27 Why would you ever complain, O "Jagila", or, whine, "Jagil" saying, "God has lost track of me. He doesn't care what happens to me"? Don't you know anything? Haven't you been listening? God doesn't come and go. God lasts --The Message (my addition in quoatations)

2) Be still and know the I-am-ness of God. Be quiet and bear the present now-ness of your Father --Mark Pate
